In this episode, we bring you excerpts of remarks by Governor of the ECCB, Timothy N. J. Antoine made during the opening ceremony of the Workshop on the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures. The workshop was hosted at the ECCB Headquarters from 16 – 20 January 2023.

In his remarks, Governor Antoine outlines how a sound payments system keeps the region’s financial system strong and creates opportunities for the people of the ECCU. We also hear from some of the workshop participants as they share their key takeaways.

Following the ceremony, the management and staff were treated to a Dominican breakfast compliments the Deputy Governor, Dr Valda Henry, a native of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
